This 2-layer system is especially designed for use in low and middle shear or low stress environments in moderate climates.

The first layer of this system offers low preheat, middle shear strength, and half-rigid mastic sealant that ensures a secure and tight seal around the welded joint. The second layer is an extruded radiation cross linked heat shrinkable high-density polyethylene backing with TIP (Temperature Indicator Pattern) that provides excellent durability and impact resistance against wear and tear.

This mastic heat shrinkable tape is also compatible with standard pipe coatings, and can be used for coating bare, replacement pipe sections, and large radius bends. The system is designed to be applied with minimum preheating, which saves time and reduces the risk of damage to equipment during installation. It is also ideal for large diameter water pipes.
