Product Description:
Heat-shrinkable materials are composed of an outer layer made of cross-linked polyolefin, as well as an inner adhesive made of thermoplastic materials material. The backing shrinks in response to heat, inducing circumferential compression that enhances the bonding of the sleeve to the surface of the pipe joints.
As a filed-joint coating system, heat-shrinkable sleeves represent one of the most robust coating systems accessible. This coating system is typically made up of a solvent-free, high-performance epoxy, adhesive copolymer, and modified cross-linked polyethylene, and it is designed to match the structure of mil-applied three-layer PE coatings while also meeting their performance standards. The coatings are versatile in that they are compatible with all commonly used pipe coatings, including polyethylene, coal tar enamel, and fusion-bonded epoxy.

Features:
Incredible multifunctional adhesive is now available for your installation needs. This amazing adhesive allows for lower installation in pre-heat temperature and bonding to 3LPE/DFBE/FBE/CTE.
You can trust this adhesive to resist shear forces caused by soil and thermal movements, making it perfect for long-term installations.
Not only that, it also offers superior cathodic disbondment, hot water immersion resistance, and thermal ageing resistance. This gives optimum barrier long term protection against corrosion.
By using this adhesive, you can significantly reduce time and costs by lowering pre-heat temperature and using wet epoxy primer application. This is perfect for those who want to save time and money without sacrificing quality.
Applications:
To ensure the best results, please follow the steps below carefully:
Mix the two components of epoxy primer thoroughly before application. It is important to ensure a thorough mixing to guarantee optimal adhesion.
Apply the epoxy primer to a minimum thickness of 150 µm and covering at least.10 mm of the adjacent coating. Avoid mixing more primer than can be applied during the pot life.
While the epoxy is still wet, apply the sleeve. The adhesive should be heated before application. Once the sleeve is wrapped, the closure patch must be heated and applied. The whole sleeve should be heat-shrunk to fit tightly around the joint.
After application, post heating should be used to soften the sleeve and allow the removal of any trapped air.
